Bring your own beach towel, if one is desired. Bath towels and linens are provided. However, beach wear is not.
Also remember to pack your own personal soaps, toiletries, food etc. as only hand soap is provided by owners.
You may borrow our beach chairs, hanging in the garage. Please rinse and hang to dry between uses.
You may wish to bring a bluetooth speaker, your own bicycles and/or kayaks. These may be found for rent on the island.

There are two public boat ramps nearby. Both face the inter-coastal waterway. The closest is located at NE 55th St. w/ample parking. There is also a ramp at 57th Place West next to the Lone Rider Restaurant. There is a third public boat ramp, located on Fish Factory Road.

Oak Island is a golf cart island. Meaning, golf carts must be street legal, insured vehicles with only those of legal driving age behind the wheel. Residential streets are the only streets where golf carts are allowed. Therefore, when driving a golf cart, one must plan the route in order to avoid the main roads as much as possible. Main roads are marked with 45 mph speed limit signs. Be sure to stay off those roads when driving a golf cart. (Golf carts are available for rent on the island.)
Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Each person will have 1 bath towel, 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels. At the end of your stay, used towels can be left on bathroom floors. Wet towels may remain hanging.
Please pull the used linens from the bed(s) and leave them piled on the bedroom floor(s). The cost of housekeeping is $275 when your group utilizes all three bedrooms. $250, when two bedrooms are utilized and $225, when only one bedroom is utilized.
Please load and run dishwasher on “1-hr” setting. Include dish sponge and coffee pot, if possible. Press “start” once to choose setting. Press “start” again to run the cycle.
Gather and remove all trash and recyclables to appropriate City containers in garage. Roll both containers to the gravel area at end of driveway, leaving 3 feet between them. Trash is collected every Monday. Recyclables are collected every other Monday.
We kick the rental season off by leaving a new bag of quality coffee in the main freezer, filters, plastic wraps, spices, basic condiments, and paper products. If you’ve depleted one or more of these initial supplies, then please restock accordingly for those following checking in after you.
Half of your stay was collected at time of booking. The remaining balance plus housekeeping fee is due 45 days prior to your arrival.
Please note that if housekeeping identifies damages to the home or its contents which occurred during your stay, then we will contact you promptly to discuss cost to repair and/or replace, as necessary.
Follow local evacuation instructions immediately and contact us when you get to safety.
A small number of visitors (3 – 5 people) is OK. This is the quiet side of the island. We have full-time residents living on adjacent properties. Generally speaking, weekday quiet hours are 10:00PM to 8:00AM. Weekend quiet hours are approximately 12:00PM to 8:00AM.

Two shoe trays are provided on the screen porch to assist in catching sandy shoes.
A clothesline is located outside the garage shower and an expandable drying rack is stored behind laundry room door. Please avoid resting on any bedding, upholstered furniture or fabric seats while wet, soiled, sweaty, or wearing bronzing lotion/suntan oil.
Please flush only toilet paper. Do not flush any personal hygiene products.
Please do not put grease, meat or egg shells down the disposal. Use an empty aluminum can or ceramic bowl for collecting grease, allow to cool and dispose of the solidified grease in trash bag later.
After each use, please shut off knob on top of the propane tank, remove all food remnants, scrap grates with tool provided, close lid and allow grill to cool before replacing the protective cover. (Cooking tools appropriate for grill are in a kitchen drawer.)
Knobs on the stove top are sensitive and can be easily turned on. Make certain all knobs are turned off when not in use. Please check regularly to ensure nobody accidentally bumped a knob inadvertently activating a burner. The gas oven cooks best on convection mode. Please stay nearby while cooking.
Our property manager maintains the plants. Therefore, please do not water or prune the plants.
